Last Week of School

All-Star of the Week: Ben M.
Ben was our amazing all-star for our last week of school.  He brought in many things in his sharing sack include a starfish and a train that his dad gave him with his name on it.  He shared many photos from his newborn pictures to trips he has taken to Greenfield Village and even one of the first fish that he caught! We enjoyed learning more about you this week Ben!

Poetry Cafe:
We wanted to congratulate each of our 3rd grade poets on a job well done at our poetry cafe.  Thank you to the many guests that visited our classroom to celebrate our amazing writers!

At open mic time, these brave poets shared a published poem with our third graders!  Thank you family members for your participation too!

The last few weeks the students have been working on designing a zoo.  The zoo needed to include an entrance and 5 animal exhibits.  Once they were designed, they practiced finding the area and perimeter of each habitat along with the area/perimeter of the entrance.  The projects are below.

We can't thank our students and room 13 parents enough for a great year.  We truly appreciate the support you have given us.  We hope you have a wonderful summer vacation...don't forget to READ!

We also wanted to thank you for the thoughtful gift card.  If there's one thing we like to do in our free time, it's shop!!!  It will definitely come in handy! Thank you for thinking of us during this busy time of year!

Have a great summer vacation! We look forward to seeing all of your friendly faces on the 4th grade playground next school year!
